”Well…That was a lot easier than I expected.”
The male voice that spoke quickly chuckled after doing so.
”To be fair, they aren’t nearly as powerful as they should be. They need Hosts to wield their true power, plus the fact that they’re missing their Leader didn‘t help either.”
High atop the Arbiter’s Grounds, a place that was normally magically blocked any from getting to it save for figuring out the secrets of the dungeon below it, the Mirror Chamber crowned the dead ridden building. Standing within it were six robbed figures in various positions around the area.
Sitting atop the Goddess Statue, one of the robed figures, colored white, sat nothing short of comfortably as he watched over the others.
”Don’t bother giving them too much credit. I think they got too comfortable here, too used to others fighting their battles. Such laziness…They would not survive what we’ve been through…”
”The Bosses would rip them apart…Let alone Her… Such insolent beings that claim to rule and guide the mortals within this realm…The arrogance they display deserved to be ripped asunder.” Spoke a female voice emanating from a golden cloak that sat in front of the Mirror of Twilight.
”Speaking of insolent, where did your twin go? She was so excited when we got here, it was almost insulting at how fast she left when we were done.” Inquired a male from a blue hued outfit, leaning against a large rock and seemingly staring at the golden woman, guessable only by the direction of his open hood.
”She’s not my twin thank you, and how should I know? I’m not her keeper! If you’re so worried, you guys should keep an eye on her, I can’t stand the wench.”
”She left to find any remnants of her wet dream of a legacy…As if any of us have a true history…” Informed a solemn male voice, coming around the rock to the right of the blue male. His brown cloak and deep voice, if animals from the forest had been present, they would have fled in fear as they recognized him…
”You can’t blame her, she’s the only one of us who won’t have any slaves to order around. It’d almost make you feel bad for her if we had any tears to shed.” Scoffed a male voiced covered in a red wardrobe. He sat atop the rock that the two below him stood near.
”Well she can suck it up. If she has a complaint, she can go to one of the Bosses, see if they can feel enough of that worthless emotion of pity to give her something to rule.” Muttered the green cloaked male, sitting atop one of the seven poles that encircled the chamber.
”That’s if she doesn’t hear you morons.” Called out the white cloak. ”Don’t forget, she’s the second most powerful of us, and if she decides to abuse that advantage…I‘ll be sure to enjoy the show.”
The other five cloaked beings looked up to the colorless one, not a sound coming from them until finally a loud scoff was heard by the red.
”Whatever…I’m sure She’ll protect us, or at least keep us in line...I doubt She’ll let any of us get greedier without some kind of punishment.”
”Don’t get your hopes up on that. Remember, She said She’ll bring us back if we die, that even if we do Her plans will be furthered and we shouldn‘t be afraid of falling in battle. I don’t know about the rest of you, but it sounds to me like we’re expendable, and any internal squabbling will be handled by simply reviving the loser if She sees fit, and I doubt She will…”
”Whatever…I’m not worried. Even using a chunk of our combined powers to freeze these ugly morons, I doubt we’ll even come close to losing against the fools that thrive in this realm…” Sneered the brown.
Stepping forth from the rock, the blue cloaked male walked towards what one would think was a statue, yet was actually the Spirit Sage of Water, unmoving, unflinching, still as stone. A disgusted groan came from the robe as one of the sleeves moved up and pushed at its mask-like face.
”Such…disturbing creatures…It almost hurts to look at them…Can we leave yet?” Asked the blue, almost pleading in his voice.
”Don’t worry, it’ll all be over soon, then we can escape this boring place and start the real fun~” Giggled the yellow, swinging her robbed legs before pushing off and landing on the ground softly before spinning around.
”Its almost sad that we had to change our original plans…Why must the idiots of this realm fall into His lap so easily? He gathered an army so quickly! Its as if He knows of Her plans…So annoying…” Muttered red as he too pushed off from his claimed spot and landed beside the others with a thump, the dust clouding around him from his landing.
”That’s why we had to change our plans you ignorant fool. We can’t play around and risk messing things up, we have to strike and finish in one move, one assault, before anyone can stop us, especially Him.”
”Yes…But things are still working out just fine, and just like She said, no matter what happens, we cannot lose.” Muttered the white, looking to the moonless night sky above, the endless darkness dotted by small stars. ”Its all just a matter of time before Her reign begins…”
